Our Story
We have always been travelers at heart.
Over the years, we've crossed continents, lingered over long dinners in cities we barely knew, and discovered that the best meals are never just about food — they're about how a place makes you feel. Somewhere between the candlelit rooftops of Europe and the open-sky dining terraces of East Africa, something shifted in us. We stopped just eating and started paying attention.
It was a rooftop in Africa that stayed with us the longest. The way the air felt. The way the horizon seemed to belong to everyone at the table. The way great ambience and great food together create something you carry home in your chest, not just your memory.
We came home to Dehradun and couldn't stop thinking about it.
We know this city's pace, its warmth, its quiet pride. And we felt it deserved a place that matched the best of what we'd experienced anywhere in the world — without asking anyone to leave home to find it.
Kytes was born from that feeling. Perched on the rooftop, framed by a glass ceiling and open sky, with the hills of Dehradun stretching out in every direction — it is our answer to every extraordinary meal we've ever had, and our love letter to the city that raised us.
